NORTHAMPTON AND PYTCHLEY HUNT, 1844.

THE Farmers' Cup, value 50 sov. for horses, &c. not thoroughbred, but bred in the County, belonging to Farmers only, which have been regularly hunted the season of 1843-4, with Lord Southampton's or the Pytchley hounds, which have never won up to the day of running (matches or Farmers' plates at these, or the Yeoman cup at the Summer races, excepted); heats, once round and a distance; four yrs old, 10st. 10b. five, 11st. 4lb. six, 11st. 12lb. and aged, 12st. m. and g. allowed 3lb. a winner of the Farmers' or Yeoman cup in any preceding year to carry 71b. extra. No licensed horse dealer will be allowed to enter or start a horse in this race. Entrance, 10s. including scales and weights, the winner to pay one sov. Gentlemen, Farmers, or Tradesmen riders. Pedigree, by whom bred, and qualification for this race, to be produced to the Clerk of the Course at the time of entrance.

The Great Northamptonshire Stakes of 100 sov. added to a Handicap Sweepstakes of 25 sov. each, 15 ft. and 5 only if declared on or before the 1st of March; two miles; the weights to be out by the 20th of February; the second horse to receive 25 sov. out of the stakes. The winner to subscribe to the race in 1845, and to pay 101. to the Judge. The 100 sov. will not be added unless there are 50 subscribers and three remain in.

The Althorp Park Stakes of 10 sov. each, with 30 added, for two yrs old colts, 8st, 5lb. and fillies, 8st. 2lb. the Straight run in, about half a mile.

The Trial Stakes of 10 sov. each, with 40 added; three yrs old, 6st. four, 8st. 6lb. five, 9st. 1b. six and aged, 9st. 71b. one mile and a quarter. The winner to pay 3 sov. to the Clerk of the Course.

The Tally-ho Stakes of 25 sov. each, 10 ft. for horses not thoroughbred; three yrs old, 8st. 9lb. four, 10st. 9lb. five, 11st. 71b. six and aged, 12st, m. and g. allowed 3lb. a winner of the Coplow or Tally-ho stakes in any year to carry 91b. of two, or either twice, 14lb. or of any other race of the value of 501. up to the day of running, 3lb. but no horse to carry more than 14lb. extra; two miles; Gentlemen riders, Members, or Sons of Members, of White's, Brookes's, Crockford's, Boodle's, the Jockey Club, Goodwood, Heaton Park, Eglinton Park, Bibury, or Croxton Park Clubs, or Officers, or Sons of Officers on full pay, in her Majesty's Army or Navy. The win

ner to pay 2 sov. to the Clerk of the Course, and to subscribe to the stakes in 1845.

Her Majesty's Plate will be run for at this Meeting; weights for which will appear in due time.

The Northamptonshire Cup Stakes, by subscription of 10 sov. each, for all ages: the winner to be sold for 500 sov. if demanded, &c. twice round, about three miles. The winner to pay 3 sov. to the Clerk of the Course, and to subscribe to the stakes in 1845; three yrs old, 6st. 71b. four, 8st. 9lb. five, 9st. 7b. six and aged, 9st. 12b. m. and g. allowed 2lb. the winner of the Queen's plate to carry 5lb. extra.

The Open Stakes of 10 sov. each, with 25 added, free for any horse the winner to be sold for 1501, if demanded, &c. Gentlemen riders; once round and a distance; three yrs old, 9st. four, 10st, 5lb. five, 10st. 12b. six and aged, 11st. 2lb. One sov, entrance.

The Grand Hurdle Race of 15 sov. each, 10 ft. with 30 added (open to all England); two miles, seven leaps; four yrs old, 10st. 101b. five, 11st. 4lb. six, 11st. 12b. and aged, 12st. m. and g. allowed 3lb. the winner of any race or steeple chase to carry, once, 3lb. twice, 5lb. thrice or more, 7lb. in addition; hurdles to be four feet in the clear; the winner to pay 5 sov. towards the expense of the hurdles. Entrance, 10s.

A Beaten Handicap for the last race.

All the above stakes, &c. (except the Northamptonshire stakes, Queen's plate, and Farmers' cup) to close on the 1st of March, and nominations to be made on or before that day, to Messrs Weatherby, London, or the Clerk of the Course.

No public money will be given to any race if walked over for. All disputes to be determined by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, and such decision to be final.

The rules and regulations as established at Liverpool and Goodwood, as regards defaulters, &c. will be enforced.
