PS. LXVI. 1,4.5.

LET all the lands with shouts of joy
To God their voices raise;
Sing psalms in honour of His Name,
And spread His glorious praise.

Through all the earth the nations round
Shall Thee their God confess;
And with glad hymns, their awful dread
Of Thy great Name express.

O! come, behold the works of God:
And then with me you'll own,
That He to all the sons of men,
Has wondrous judgments shown.

No. LVII. C.M. PS. LXVI. 16,19,20.

O! COME, all ye that fear the Lord,
Attend with heedful care,

Whilst I, what God for me has done,
With grateful joy declare.

For God to me, whene'er I cried,
His gracious ear did bend
And to the voice of my request
With constant love attend.

Then bless'd for ever be my God,
Who never, when I pray,
Withholds His mercy from my soul,
Nor turns His face away.

No. LVIII. S.M.D.

LXVII. 1-5,7.

To bless Thy chosen race,

In mercy, Lord, incline,

And cause the brightness of Thy face
On all Thy saints to shine.
That so Thy wondrous way
May through the world be known;
While distant lands their tribute pay,
And Thy salvation own.

Let diff'rent nations join
To celebrate Thy fame;

Let all the world, O Lord, combine
To praise Thy glorious name.
O! let them shout and sing,
With joy and pious mirth:

For Thou, the righteous Judge and King, govern all the earth.

Shalt

Let diff'rent nations join

To celebrate Thy fame;

Let all the world, O Lord, combine
To praise Thy glorious name.
Then God upon our land

Shall constant blessings show'r;
And all the world in awe shall stand

Of His resistless pow'r.

No. LIX. C.M. PS. LXXI. 19,20,23.

How high thy justice soars, O God!
How great and wondrous are
The mighty works which Thou hast done!
Who may with Thee compare?

Me, whom Thy hand has sorely press'd,
Thy Grace shall yet relieve;
And, from the lowest depth of woe,
With tender care retrieve.

Then joy shall fill my mouth, and songs
Employ my cheerful voice:
My grateful soul, by Thee redeem'd,
Shall in Thy strength rejoice.

No. LX. C.M. PS. LXXII. 1—3.

LORD, let Thy just decrees, the king
In all his ways direct;

And let his son, throughout his reign,
Thy righteous laws respect.

So shall he still Thy people judge,
With pure and upright mind;
Whilst all the helpless poor shall him
Their just protector find.

Then hills and mountains shall bring forth
The happy fruits of peace:

Which all the land shall own to be

The work of righteousness.

No. LXI. L.M. PS. LXXIII. 25,26,28.

WHOм then in heav'n, but God alone,
Have I, whose favour I require?
Throughout the spacious earth there's none,
That I, besides Him, can desire.

My trembling flesh, and aching heart,
May often fail to succour me:

But God shall inward strength impart,
And my eternal portion be.

For me 'tis therefore good and just
That I should still to God repair:

In Him I always put my trust,

And will His wondrous works declare.

C.M. PS. LXXVIII. 5-7.

FOR Jacob God His law ordain'd,
His league with Israel made,
With charge to be from age to age,
From race to race convey'd :

That generations yet to come
Should to their unborn heirs
Religiously transmit the same,
And they again to theirs :

To teach them, that in Him alone
Their hope securely stands;

That they should ne'er His works forget,
But keep His just commands.

No. LXIII. L.M. PS. LXXX. 1,3,18.
O ISRAEL'S shepherd, Joseph's guide,
Our pray'rs to Thee vouchsafe to hear!
Thou that dost on the Cherubs ride,
Again in solemn state appear.

Do Thou convert us, Lord, do Thou
The lustre of Thy face display;
And all the ills we suffer now,
Like scatter'd clouds, shall pass away.

So shall we still continue free
From whatsoe'er deserves Thy blame;
And, if once more reviv'd by Thee,
Will always praise Thy holy Name.

No. LXIV. C.M. PS. LXXXIV. 1,2,4.

O GOD of hosts, the mighty Lord,
How lovely is the place,
Where Thou, enthron'd in glory, shew'st
The brightness of Thy face!

My longing soul faints with desire

To view Thy bless'd abode;
My panting heart and flesh cry out
For Thee, the living God.

O Lord of hosts, my King and God,
How highly bless'd are they

Who in Thy temple always dwell,

And there Thy praise display!
