The City of Durango, the present Western terminus of the M. I. R. R., has about 35,000 inhabitants and is situated 6,207 feet above the sea. It is one of the wealthiest Pacific Coast San Antonio and most picturesque cities in Mexico. It is the centre of a rich mineral district, and is also famous as a health resort, and as the location of a wonderful iron mountain. of Mexico.

The inauguration of this special through service will commend the "Eagle Pass Route " to the travelling public as being the most comfortable as well as the quickest and shortest standard gauge line between the principal cities of the United States and the City of Mexico, and other important points.
