May He our actions deign to bless, And loote the bands of wickedness; From fudden falls our feet defend, And bring us to a profperous end.

May faith deep rooted in the foul, Subdue our flesh, our minds control; May guile depart, and difcord ceafe, And all within be joy and peace.

O Holy Father, Holy Son,
And Holy Spirit, Three in One,
Thy grace devoutly we implore!
Thy Name be praised for evermore!
Amen.

T

Pfalm xix.

HE heavens declare the

glory of God: and the firmament fheweth his handywork.

One day telleth another: and one night certifieth another.

There is neither speech nor language: but their voices are heard among them.

Their found is gone out into all lands and their words into the ends of the world.

In them hath he fet a tabernacle for the fun: which cometh forth as a bridegroom out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a giant to run his course.

It goeth forth from the uttermoft of the heaven, part and runneth about unto the end of it again: and there is

nothing hid from the heat thereof.

The law of the Lord is an undefiled law, converting the foul the teftimony of the Lord is fure, and giveth wifdom unto the fimple.

The ftatutes of the Lord are right, and rejoice the

heart

the commandment of

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghoft;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever fhall be: world without end. Amen.

Pfalm xxv.

NTO thee, O Lord,

the Lord is pure, and giveth U will I lift up my foul;

light unto the eyes.

The fear of the Lord is clean, and endureth for ever: the judgments of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether.

More to be defired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: fweeter also than honey, and the honey-comb. Moreover, by them is thy fervant taught and in keeping of them there is great reward.

:

Who can tell how oft he offendeth: O cleanse thou me from my fecret faults.

Keep thy fervant alfo from prefumptuous fins, left they get the dominion over me: fo fhall I be undefiled, and innocent from the great offence.

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart be alway acceptable in thy fight,

O Lord: my ftrength, and my redeemer.

my God, I have put my truft in thee: O let me not be confounded, neither let mine enemies triumph over me.

For all they that hope in thee fhall not be afhamed: but fuch as tranfgrefs without a cause shall be put to confufion.

Shew me thy ways, O Lord and teach me thy paths.

Lead me forth in thy truth, and learn me: for thou art the God of my falvation; in thee hath been my hope all the day long.

Call to remembrance, O Lord, thy tender mercies: and thy loving-kindnesses, which have been ever of old.

O remember not the fins and offences of my youth: but according to thy mercy think thou upon me, O Lord, for thy goodness.

Gracious and righteous is

the Lord therefore will he teach finners in the way.

Them that are meek shall he guide in judgment and fuch as are gentle, them shall he learn his way.

All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth: unto fuch as keep his covenant, and his teftimonies.

For thy Name's fake, O Lord be merciful unto my fin, for it is great.

What man is he, that feareth the Lord: him fhall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

His foul fhall dwell at eafe: and his feed fhall inherit the land.

The fecret of the Lord is among them that fear him:

and he will fhew them his MY

covenant.

Mine eyes are ever looking unto the Lord: for he fhall pluck my feet out of the

net.

Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me: for I am defolate, and in mifery.

The forrows of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my troubles.

Look upon my adversity and mifery and forgive me all my fin.

Confider mine enemies, how many they are: and they

Y heart fheweth me the wickedness of the ungodly that there is no fear of God before his eyes.

:

For he flattereth himself in his own fight: until his abominable fin be found out.

The words of his mouth are unrighteous, and full of deceit he hath left off to behave himself wisely, and to do good.

Heimagineth mischief upon his bed, and hath fet himself in no good way: neither doth he abhor any thing that is evil.

Thy mercy, O Lord, reach

C

eth unto the heavens: and thy faithfulness unto the clouds.

like the strong mountains: thy judgments are like the great deep.

Thou, Lord, fhalt fave both man and beaft; How excellent is thy mercy, O God: and the children of men fhall put their truft under the fhadow of thy wings.

They fhall be fatisfied with the plenteousness of thy houfe: and thou fhalt give them drink of thy pleasures, as out of the river.

For with thee is the well of life and in thy light shall we fee light.

O continue forth thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee: and thy rightcoufneis unto them that are true of heart.

O let not the foot of pride come against me: and let not the hand of the ungodly caft me down.

There are they fallen, all that work wickedness: they are caft down, and fhall not be able to ftand.

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghoft;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be: world without end. Amen.

Pfalm cxlv.

God, my King: and I will praise thy Name for ever and ever.

Every day will I give thanks unto thee and praise thy Name for ever and ever.

Great is the Lord, and marvellous, worthy to be praised. there is no end of his greatnefs.

One generation shall praise thy works unto another: and declare thy power.

As for me, I will be talking of thy worship: thy glory, thy praife, and wondrous works;

So that men shall speak of the might of thy marvellous acts and I will alfo tell of thy greatness.

The memorial of thine abundant kindness fhall be fhewed: and men shall sing of thy righteousness.

The Lord is gracious, and merciful long-fuffering, and of great goodness.

The Lord is loving unto every man and his mercy is over all his works.

All thy works praise thee, O Lord: and thy faints give thanks unto thee.

They fhew the glory of thy kingdom and talk of thy

power;
