manding us to take poffeffion of his glorious kingdom: Unto which he vouchfafe to bring us all, for his infinite mercy. Amen.

¶ Then shall they all kneel upon their knees, and fay this Pfalm.

Miferere mei, Deus. Pfal. li.

HA

AVE mercy upon me, O God, after thy great goodness: according to the multitude of thy mercies do away mine offences.

Wash me throughly from my wickedness: and cleanfe me from my fin.

For I acknowledge my faults and my fin is ever before me.

Against thee only have I finned, and done this evil in thy fight that thou mighteft be justified in thy saying, and clear when thou art judged. Behold, I was shapen in wickednefs: and in fin hath my mother conceived me.

But lo, thou requirest truth in the inward parts: and shalt make me to understand wifdom fecretly.

Thou shalt purge me with hyffop, and I shall be clean: thou fhalt wash me, and I fhall be whiter than fnow.

Thou shalt make me hear

of joy and gladness: that the bones which thou haft broken may rejoice.

Turn thy face away from my fins: and put out all my

mifdeeds.

Make me a clean heart, O God: and renew a right spirit within me.

Caft me not away from thy prefence and take not thy holy Spirit from me.

O give me the comfort of thy help again: and stablish me with thy free Spirit.

Then fhall I teach thy ways unto the wicked: and finners fhall be converted unto thee.

Deliver me from bloodguiltinefs, O God, thou that art the God of my health: and my tongue fhall fing of thy righteousness.

Thou fhalt open my lips, O Lord and my mouth shall fhow thy praise.

For thou defireft no facrifice, else would I give it thee: but thou delightest not in burnt-offerings.

The facrifice of God is a troubled spirit: a broken and contrite heart, O God, shalt thou not despise.

O be favourable and gracious unto Sion: build thou the walls of Jerufalem.

Then fhalt thou be pleased with the facrifice of righteouf

MOST mighty God, and merciful Father, who haft compaffion upon all men, and hatest nothing that thou haft made; who wouldeft not the death of a finner, but that he should rather turn from his fin, and be faved; Mercifully forgive us our trefpaffes; receive and comfort us, who are grieved and wearied with the burden of our fins. Thy property is always to have mercy; to thee only it appertaineth to forgive fins.

rable finners; but fo turn thine anger from us, who meekly acknowledge our vileness, and truly repent us of our faults, and fo make hafte to help us in this world, that we may ever live with thee in the world to come; through Jesus Chrift our Lord. Amen.

URN thou us, O good Lord, and fo fhall we be turned. Be favourable, O Lord, Be favourable to thy people, Who turn to thee in weeping, fafting, and praying. For thou art a merciful God, Full of compaffion, Long-suffering, and of great pity. Thou fpareft when we deserve ifhment, And in thy wrath thinkeft upon mercy. Spare thy people good Lord, spare them, And let not thine heritage be brought to confufion. Hear us, O Lord, for thy mercy is great, And after the multitude of thy mercies look upon us; Through the merits and mediation of thy blessed Son, Jefus Christ our Lord. Amen.

HE Lord bless us, and

Spare us therefore, good Lord, I keep us; the Lord lift

fpare thy people, whom thou haft redeemed; enter not into judgment with thy fervants, who are vile earth, and mise

up the light of his countenance upon us, and give us peace, now and for evermore. Amen.
