Add, at the end of section 2, the following:

"Provided, however, that all such work shall be done without interruption to, or interfering with, the ordinary and regular travel in said streets and avenues."

Section 14, line 5, engrossed bill, strike out the words "filling of vacancies as," and insert in lieu thereof the word "cases."

Same section, line 6, strike out the words "seventh" and "eighth," and insert in lieu thereof the words "eighth " and "ninth.”

Insert as section 21 the following:

" 21. The present board of education shall appoint a suitable person other than a member of their body superintendent of schools for the city of Troy, who shall exercise such powers and discharge such duties as said board shall, from time to time, delegate and direct, and shall receive such salary as the said board may determine."

Change the number of section "21" to " 22."

Said bill, as amended, was then read a third time.
