They will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; and ye shall be brought before governors and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. St. Matt. x. 17, 18.

ALMIGHTY God, Who didst give such grace unto Thy holy Apostle Saint Andrew, that he readily obeyed the calling of Thy Son Jesus Christ, and followed Him without delay; Grant unto us all, that we, being called by Thy Holy Word, may forthwith give up ourselves obediently to fulfil Thy holy commandments; through the Same Jesus Christ our Lord. ALMIGHTY and everliving God, who for the more confirmation of the faith didst suffer Thy holy Apostle Thomas to be doubtful in Thy Son's Resurrection; Grant us so perlieve in Thy Son Jesus Christ, that fectly, and without all doubt, to beour faith in Thy sight may never be reproved. Hear us, O Lord, through the Same Jesus Christ, to Whom, with Thee and the Holy Ghost, be all honour and glory, now and for evermore. Amen.

At Lauds, and the other hours, every

thing as in the Common of Apostles except the Collect, which shall be that said at the First Vespers. The Antiphon to Magnificat at the Second Vespers is O Rex gentium, as in the Proper Service of the Season, p. 10.
