POPULATION OF THE GLOBE.

The amount of the population of the globe is uncertain; some estimate it upwards of 1,000,000,000, and some reduce it to less than half that number.

It appears that nearly one half of the inhabitants of the globe, are still in the darkness of Paganism; more than one sixth in the delusions of Mahometanism; and but a little more than one third enjoy, in any considerable degree, the light of the Gospel.
