Gale Beth Goldberg received her masters degree in architecture from MIT and her undergraduate degree in landscape architecture from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. The recipient of a grant from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in Fine Arts, she studied the bamboo architecture of Simon Velez and builder/artisan Marcelo Villegas in Bogotá, Columbia, in 1998.
