The roll of the Senate was called by William R. Smith, under the direction of the Lieutenant Governor and President of the Senate, when the following members appeared, and those Senators elected in the first, third, seventh, ninth, eleventh, thirteenth, fifteenth, seventeenth and nineteenth districts, presented their credentials.
