"T"-LEASES OF WATER POWER.

No new lease of water power has been made since the last report.

By the decision of the Supreme Court, the leases on the main line of the Canal, at Joliet, to Northwestern Tile Co., Carpenter & Marsh, and Druley & Johnson, have been annulled.

The following is a schedule of the leases as they now stand

RATES OF TOLLS AND LOCKAGE

Established upon the Illinois and Michigan Canal, and the Locks at Henry and Copperas Creek, in the Illinois River, by resolution of the Board of Canal Commissioners, passed February 9, 1882.

On freight boats, per mile, on the Canal....

On freight boats, lockage at Henry and Copperas Creek, per ton measurement, at each lock...

Provided, That no single lockage shall be made for less than $1.50, and also that no steamboat shall be rated at over 500 tons.

Toll is to be computed upon the weight (1,000 pounds per mile) of all articles contained in the following list, unless otherwise stated.

Lockage at Henry and Copperas Creek to be computed upon the weight (per 1,000 pounds) unless otherwise stated.
