On motion of Mr. Billings,

The House resolved itself into a committee of the whole on the general file of bills;

Mr. Sheldon in the chair.

And after some time spent therein,

The Private Secretary of the Governor was announced; when

The Speaker took the chair, and the following message was announced, to wit:

Leave was granted.

The amendments of the committee of the whole to Nos. 51 and 65, (H. of R.) and Nos. 42 and 72, (C.) were then concurred in and

Bills Nos. 51, 65 and 68, (H. of R.) and memorials Nos. 6, 7 and 9 (H. of R.) were ordered to be engrossed for a third reading; and

Bills Nos. 42, 40, 26 and 86, (C.) and memorial No. 8, (C.) were ordered to a third reading;

And, on motion,

The said bills were severally read the third time, passed, and the titles thereof agreed to.

On motion of Mr. Burnett,

Memorial No. 8, (C.) was laid on the table.

On motion of Mr. Burnett,

No. 72, (C.) was laid on the table.

On motion of Mr. MaGone,

No. 66, (C.) was referred to a select committee consisting of the members from Milwaukee county.

Mr. Mooers, agreeably to previous notice and by leave, introduced

No. 69, (H. of R.) "A bill to organize school district No. 1, in the town of Fond du Lac for special purposes;"

Which was read the first and second times.

On motion of Mr. Burnett,

The House adjourned until half-past seven o'clock P. M.
