A message from the council by their secretary:

Mr. Botkin moved to dispense with alt rules preventing resolutions, &c. from being read the second and third times on the same day, and that said resolution be read the third time now ;

And request a conference thereon; and have appointed Messrs. Lovell, Darling, and Holmes as the committee on their part in relation thereto."

Mr. Cothren moved that a committee of conference be appointed on the part of the house, on the bill referred to in the foregoing message ;

Which was agreed to. The speaker announced the appointment of Messrs. Cothren, Holliday and Wakeley the said committee.

Mr. Burns, from the committee on enrollment, reported
