By unanimous consent, Mr. Creamer asked and obtained leave to introduce a bill entitled "An act to incorporate the Empire Skating Rink Association, of the city of New York," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on the judiciary.

By unanimous consent, Mr. Creamer asked and obtained leave to introduce a bill entitled "An act to amend an act entitled 'An act for the better prevention of steam boiler explosions, and for the better regulation of steam-boilers in the Metropolitan Police District," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on the judiciary.

By unanimous consent, Mr. Morgan asked and obtained leave to introduce a bill entitled "An act to release to John Woollard the estate, right, title and interest of the people of the State of New York, of, in and to a certain piece of land situate in the city of Rochester, county of Monroe, and State of New York, of which Ralph M. Crysler died seized,” which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on the judiciary.

By unanimous consent, Mr. Cauldwell asked and obtained leave to introduce a bill entitled "An act to amend an act entitled 'An act to authorize the extension of Central road or avenue, in the county of Westchester, from its terminus at or near Wood Lawn Cemetery, in the town of Yonkers, to a point at or near the village of White Plains,' passed April 16, 1867," which was read the first time, and by unanimous consent was also read the second time, and referred to the committee on roads and bridges.

By unanimous consent, Mr. Pierce moved that the committee appointed to investigate the affairs of the Erie railway, have an extension of time until Tuesday next, to report the result of their investigations, and that meantime the Clerk be instructed to have the usual number of copies of the testimony taken by said committee printed.

The President put the question whether the Senate would agree to said motion, and it was decided in the affirmative.

Mr. Genet offered the following resolution;

Resolved, That 2,000 copies of the annual report of the New York Institution for the Deaf and Dumb, be printed for that Institution, 500 copies for the Superintendent of Public Instruction, and 500 for the use of the Senate.

Ordered, That said resolution be referred to the committee on public printing.

A message from the Assembly was received and read, in the words following:

IN ASSEMBLY, March 25, 1868. Resolved, That a message be sent to the Honorable the Senate and the Court of Appeals, informing the members thereof, respectively, that the

House of Assembly have adopted articles of impeachment against Robert C. Dorn, Canal Commissioner, and appointed Managers to conduct the trial, and that they are ready to exhibit the articles to the Court of Impeachment.

On motion of Mr. Kennedy and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and the bill entitled "An act to amend an act entitled 'An act to facilitate the construction of the Skaneateles railroad, and to regulate the weight of rails for the same,' passed April 18, 1866, and for the appointment of a railroad commissioner for the town of Skaneateles," was recommitted to the committee on railroads, with power to report complete.

Mr. Morgan offered the following resolution:

Resolved, That the bill entitled "An act to amend chapter 899 of the Laws of 1866, entitled 'An act to provide for raising the berme bank and tow-path of the Erie canal from the aqueduct to a point ten chains east of Lyell street, in the city of Rochester,' passed June 21, 1866," be committed to the first committee of the whole, not full.

On motion of Mr. Mattoon and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended and the Assembly bill entitled "An act to amend an act entitled 'An act to enable the electors of the town of Lenox, Madison county, to vote by districts for town officers,' passed April 16, 1866," was recommitted to the committee on internal affairs of towns and counties, with power to report complete.

On motion of Mr. Banks and by unanimous consent, the rules were suspended, and the Assembly bill entitled "An act releasing to Mary McGrau all the right, title and interest of the people of the State of New York, in and to certain lands in the city of Albany," was recommitted to the committee on the judiciary, with power to report complete.
