A bill entitled, “ An Art for the relief of Paul M'Cormick of Leon county," was read the third time the yeas and nays being required by Mes:ru. Beribelot and Duval on its passnye, wore Yes Mr. Presiliul Monestis. Berthlot Blomt, Browni of Columbia Brivil, Dronja, lupkins, Higginbotham, Ilunter, Johnson, Komin, M'Cunts, Al'. Neil, Morton, Ramsey, Walker and Wood--17. Nays Messrs. Brown of Jackson, Dirval, Vicon and Tabor--4. So suid bill is passed : ordered that the aile be as before set forth.

Mr. Blount from the Judiciary committee, as instructed by said committee, reported unfavourably upon the following bills :

A bill entitled, “ An Act to repeal an act therein mentioned.”

A bill entitled, 56 An Act for the relief of James S. Freshwater,” and

A bili entitled, " An Act to alter aud amend an act give ing a lien to mechanics in certain cases,” which report was concurred in by the House.

Mr. Morion from the committee on the State of the Territory to whom was relerred the petition of Jared P. Barber, reported a bill entitied, "An Act to authorize Jared P. Burber to establish a ferry arross the St. Marys' river,” which was read by the title, and ordered for a second reading on to-morrow.

Also a bill entitled, ". Au act to incorporate the Pensacola Steam Saw-nill company," which was read by the title and ordered for a second reading on to-inorrow.

Mr. Wood from the cominittee on Banks, to wbou the sanie had been relerred, reported without amendment a bill entitled, “ An act to amend an act to incorporate the Central Bank of Florida,” which was read the second tine and made the order oi the day for to-morrow', a..d twenty-five copies are ordered to be printed.

Also a bill enlilled, " An act to amend the Char.er of the Union Bank of Florida,” which was read by the title and ordered for a second reading on 10-11sorrow, and 25 copies are orded to be printed.

A bill entitled, "An act to incorporate the Florida Insurance and Banking Company," was taken up from the orders of the day, when on motion of Mr. Blout the House went into committee of the whole thereon : after some time spent therein the committee rose, and mr. Duval therefron reported said bill with amendments, which report was concurred in by the House, and said bill was reed the sscond line and ordered for a third reading on to-mor.

Thursday, January 28. The House met pursuant to auljournment, a quorum being present the Journal of yesterday's proceedings was read.

inr. Blount gave notice that he will on tu-morrow ask leave to introduce a bill to authorize the guardian of the minor heirs of Thomas Wriglat deceased, to sell their real estate within this Territory.

mr. Burriit gave notice that he will on some future day ask leave to introduce a bill to be entitled, “ An act to change the time of holding the Spriog term of the county court of the county of Duval.”.

mr. Hawkins pursuintil to previous notice asked and obtained leave to introduce a bill entitled, " Au act to amend an act to incorporate a company, called The St. An. drews and Chipola Canal company,' passed the 3d day of February 1832,” which was read by the title and referred to the Judiciary committee.

On motion of mr. Blount, mr. Downing was added to the committee on the Judiciary; on Finance ; on the State of the Territory and on Internal Improvements.
