A bill entitled an Act, to incorporate a company for the establishment of a ferry across the Ocilla river, at the Flat ford in Jefferson county, was read a third time and passed. Ordered that the title be as afore stated.

On motion of Mr. Gilliland, the House went into committee of the whole on a bill entitled an Act, incorporating the Franklin Bank of Florida. After some time, the committee rose, and Mr. Read, chairman, reported said bill to the House amended, which report was concurred in, and said bill was read the second and third times, (the rule being waived,) and passed. Ordered that the title be as above stated.

The House went into committee of the whole on a bill entitled an Act, regulating the fees of certain officers in this Territory and for other purposes. After some time, the committee rose, and Mr. Hart, chairman, reported progress, and asked leave to sit again, which report was concurred in.

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the East and South Florida Canal company, was read a third time and passed. Ordered that the title be as before stated.

A bill entitled an Act, to incorporate the Marine Insurance Bank of Apalachicola, was read a third time and passed. Ordered that the title be as above stated.

A bill entitled an Act, to authorize John Bellamy to render the Оcilla river navigable, was read a third time and passed. Ordered that the title be as before stated.

A bill entitled an Act, for the relief of Silas Weeks, of Columbia county, was read a third time, the yeas and nays being required on the question of its final passage, by Messrs. Fitzpatrick and Johnston, were, Yeas,-Messrs. Brown Bryan, Downing, Fernandez, Fitzpatrick, Fontane, Gilliland, McNeill, Robinson, Shehee, Tabor, Williams and Wood, 13. Nays, Messrs. Hart, Johnston, Kenan, Levy, Long, Macon, Marvin and Read, 8. So said bill passed. Ordered that the title be as above stated.

A bill entitled an Act, to authorize John N. C. Stockton, to establish a ferry across the Choctawhatchie river, at the

cow-ford, was read a third time and passed. Ordered that the title be as afore stated.

The House then adjourned till to-morrow, 9 o'clock.

FRIDAY, Feb. 10th, 1837. The House met pursuant to adjournment, a quorum being present, the Journal of yesterday's proceedings was read. Mr. Long asked, and obtained leave (the rule for that purpose being waived) to introduce a bill entitled, an Act for the relief of Benjamin Hays, which bill was twice read, and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading on to-morrow.

Mr. Shehee from the committee of Enrolments, reported the following bills as correctly enrolled to wit:

An act to amend an act concerning estrays.

An act for the divorce of Mary J. Thompson, from Alexander Thompson.

An act to incorporate a company for the establishment of a ferry across the Ocilla river, at the Flat ford in Jefferson county.

An act to incorporate the Protestant Episcopal church in the city of St. Joseph.

An act to incorporate the Protestant Episcopal church in the city of Appalachicola, and

An act to incorporate the Southern college at St. Augus tine.

On motion of Mr. Shehee, it was unanimously agreed that the committee on Enroled bills be permitted to report at any time during the session of this House.

Mr. Marvin from the committee on Schools and Colleges, reported a bill concerning school lands, which was twice read (the rule being waived) and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading on to-morrow.

Mr. Long from the committee on Internal Improvements, reported a bill entitled an act to authorize the county court of Leon county, to dispose of a certain portion of the public square laid out for the Court House and Jail, in the city of Tallahassee, to enable said county to build a Court House and Jail, which was twice read, (the rule being waived) and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading to-morrow.

The petition of B. G. Thornton, was reported to the House from the committee on Claims, and on motion was indefinitely postponed.

The House went into committee of the whole, on a bill entitled an act to provide for the more effectual protection of the frontier. After some time the committee rose, and Mr. Johnson, chairman, reported said bill to the House amended.

The House went into committee of the whole, on a bill entitled an Act to incorporate Reedsville at the Gadsden spring in Columbia county, after some time, the committee rose and Mr. Long, chairman, reported a substitute for the said bill, entitled an Act to incorporate Reedsville in Columbia county which report was concurred in, and said bill was read a second and third time, and passed. Ordered that the title be as last stated.

A bill entitled an Act to amend an act to incorporate the East Florida Rail Road Company, was read a third time and passed. Ordered that the title be as afore stated.

A bill entitled an Act regulating the conveyances of nonresidents was read the third time, the yeas and nays, being required on the passage of said bill, by Messrs. Levy and Downing, were yeas, Mr. President, Messrs. Bryan, Campbell, Downing, Fernandez, Gilliland, Hart, Kenan, Long, McNeill, Robison, Williams, Wood, and Wright, 14. Nays Messrs. A bill entitled an Act to exempt real estate and produce from auction duties, was read a third time and passed. Ordered that the title be changed so as to read as follows, to wit-a -an Act relating to auction duties.

A bill entitled an Act to prevent the unlawful division of personal property was read a third time, the yeas and nays, being required on its final passage, by Messrs. Johnston and Long, were yeas, Messrs. Bryan, Campbell, Fernandez, Gilliland, Hart, Johnson, Kenan, Levy, Long, Macon, McNeill, Robison, Shehee, Stewart, Tabor, and Williams, 16. Nays, Messrs. Brown Reed, Wood, and Wright. 4, so said bill passed. Ordered that the title be changed so as to read as follows, to wit:-an Act to prevent the unlawful taking of personal property.

third time (the rule being waived) and passed. Ordered that the title be as before stated.

The House again went into committee of the whole on a bill entitled an Act to authorize the Territory of Florida to become a state. After some time the committee rose and reported said bill amended, which report was concurred in, and said bill was again read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading to-morrow.、

SATURDAY, Feb. 11th, 1837. The House met pursuant to adjournment: a quorum being present, the Journal of yesterday's proceedings was read.

Mr. Marvin, moved that a committee of three be appointed to enquire into the conduct of E. J. Wood, and William Marvin, members of this house, as exhibited in this House, and in committee of the whole House on Thursday last, that the said committee have leave to sit during the session of the House, and that they report to this House to day at 3 o'clock, and that they have power to send for persons and papers. Which motion prevailed, and Messrs Read, Shehee, and Macon, were appointed on that committee.

Mr. Taylor from the committee on enrolments, reported the following bills as correctly enrolled, to wit:

An Act relating to Auction Duty.
