stakes of 25 govs. each, 15 ft., and only 5 if declared, &c. ; the winner to pay 50 sovs. towards the expenses of the Judge, Starter, &c., and the owner of the second horse to receive 50 sovs. out of the stakes : the winner of either the Northamptonshire Stakes, Metropolitan Stakes at Epsom, Newmarket Handicap, or the Great Northern at York, in the present year, to carry 10lb., the second in either 5lb., and the winner of any other handicap race, after the publication of the weights, of the value of 200 sovs., including the winner's own stake, 5lb. extra, but not to be accumulative for being second in any of the above specified handicaps, as well as being the winner of 200 sovs.; Cup Course, about two miles and a quarter-216 subs., 102 of whom paid 5 sovs. each.
