blank corner margins somewhat stained. ENGRAVED TITLE by WILLIAM HOLE (mounted), “having on either side full-length figures of ACHILLES and HECTOR, and at the top, a head of HOMER, supported on either side by reclining figures of VULCAN and APOLLO," &c.

This is the FIRST EDITION of the XXIIII BOOKES. The volume concludes with SIXTEEN SONNETS by CHAPMAN addressed to the principal nobility, his patrons. A GOOD COPY OF THIS RARE WORK.
