Venetiis, 1765-81

This is the most complete and valuable collection of the Greek and Latin Fathers, who to the number of 380 different writers occupy its volumes. An elaborate account of this invaluable work will be found in the Bibliotheca Patristica of Walchius, and also in Dowling's Notitia, pp. 192-209, where a detailed list of its contents is given. Very few copies have appeared for sale in this country, and the work is of equal rarity on the continent, where it is also sought after with much eagerness, and sells at a very high price.

A most invaluable work; a complete Library in itself on the subjects of which it treats, comprising above 500 Treatises (many of which are not to be found elsewhere), by eminent writers of all Countries, bringing together everything of value which had previously appeared upon the subject of Hebrew Antiquities. An analysis of the contents of this collection will be found in the Catalogue of the Library of the Royal Institution.
