BUREAU FOR RESEARCH CHARTER OF THE CITY OF WATERBURY. AN ACT REVISING AND AMENDING THE CHARTER Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in Territorial SECTION 1. The territorial limits of the body politic and corporate existing under the name of The City of Waterbury shall limits. hereafter include all the land and territory situated within the following limits: Commencing at the entrance of Steele's Brook into the Naugatuck River, thence easterly to the Bucks Hill Road, ten rods northerly of a dwelling house owned by Gideon L. Platt, thence to the bridge where the Cheshire Road crosses the Carrington Brook, thence to the dam of Rogers and Brother across Mad River, thence southwesterly to the Naugatuck River, at the lower end of Mad Meadow-said point being the former southwest corner of the Borough of Waterbury-thence westerly to the northeast corner of the former dwelling house of Erastus P. Potter, thence northerly to the intersection of the Middlebury and Town Plot Roads on West Side Hill, thence northerly to the place of beginning, the same being the present city line. SEC. 2. All the electors of the State of Connecticut, dwelling within said limits, are hereby declared to be, and shall forever continue to be a body politic and corporate, in fact and in name, NOTE.-See amendments to Section one on pages 88 and 95.
