Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Waterbury:

SECTION I. No person shall enter any yard, garden or enclosure in said city against the will of the owner, and without his permission; or take and destroy any fruit or produce of any such yard, garden or enclosure; or destroy, or in any manner injure any tree, shrub or plant therein. Any person offending against any of the provisions of this section shall forfeit and pay a penalty of not more than fifty dollars for every such offense.

SEC. 2. No person shall post up or affix in any manner any bill, placard or notice, either written or printed, upon any fence, bridge, wall, post, or upon any part of any building in said city, without the previous consent of the occupants thereof; or, if there be no occupants, without the previous consent of the owners thereof; nor upon any building, sidewalk, curbstone, tree, fence or post belonging to said city, without consent of the Mayor or Board of Aldermen; nor upon any pole belonging to any telegraph, telephone or electric light company, without the previous consent of such company. Any person offending against any of the provisions of this section, shall forfeit and pay a penalty of not more than twenty dollars for every such offense.

Be it ordained by the Board of Aldermen of the City of Waterbury:

SECTION I. That pulmonary tuberculosis is hereby declared to be an infectious and communicable disease, dangerous to the public health. Every physician is requested to report in writing to the City Health Officer all cases of tuberculosis occurring in his practice, that a record of the same may be kept for the purpose of controlling the disease. Such report shall be confidential.

SEC. 2. A room or apartment that has been occupied by a person suffering with tuberculosis, shall not again be used. or occupied after the removal or death of the patient until the same has been disinfected under the supervision of the Board of Health.

SEC. 3. No person who owns, controls, or has charge of a room or apartment that has been occupied by such tuberculosis person shall allow the same again to be used or occupied before being disinfected as provided in section two.

SEC. 4. When death occurs from pulmonary tuberculosis the City Health Officer shall be notified in writing by the undertaker or person in charge of the body within six hours from the time he is called.

SEC. 5. The violations of sections two, three, or four of this ordinance shall be deemed a misdemeanor and punished by a fine of not less than ten nor more than one hundred dollars.

Be it ordained by the Court of Common Council of the City of Waterbury:

SECTION I. The Board of Fire Commissioners shall report from time to time to the Court of Common Council, whenever, in the opinion of said board, any new public hydrant or reservoir is needed by the city for protection against fire.

SEC. 2. It shall be the duty of the Water Commissioners to see that all the public hydrants, wells, and reservoirs are kept, at all times, in good condition and repair, and ready for use in case of fire, and to report to the Court of Common Council any deficiency in the supply of water to any public hydrant.

SEC. 3. No person shall fasten any guy, rope, brace, support or fastening of any kind to any public hydrant. Every person or corporation violating, or causing or procuring a violation of this section, shall forfeit and pay a penalty of not less than five nor more than fifty dollars for each and every such offense.

SEC. 4. No person shall cover up or incumber any public hydrant, by placing on or about it any snow, ice, sleet, rubbish, building materials, but a sufficient space shall be left about every

such hydrant to allow free access for fire engines and hose carriages. Every person or corporation violating, or causing or procuring a violation of this section, shall forfeit and pay a penalty of not less than ten dollars for each and every such offense.

SEC. 5. Every person who shall wilfully break or injure any public hydrant, shall forfeit and pay a penalty of not less than five nor more than one hundred dollars for each and every such offense.

SEC. 6. Every person who shall open any public fire hydrant, except for use by the fire department, and under direction of some proper officer of the fire department, or by special permission of the Water Commissioners; and every person who shall wilfully and maliciously leave the water of any public hydrant running to waste, and every person who shall wilfully and maliciously leave the water of any pipe or hydrant running in any public building, or to the damage of others in any tenement building, shall forfeit and pay a penalty of not less than five dollars for each and every such offense.

SEC. 7. No person shall use the water for sprinkling the streets or sidewalks, between the hours of six P. M. and eight A. M. from May first to November first, and between the hours of nine A. M. and five P. M. from November first to May first, except on special occasions, when permission must be obtained from the Water Commissioners. Every person wilfully violating this section shall forfeit and pay a penalty of not less than five dollars for each and every such offense, and the person or persons in whose employ such act was done, shall forfeit and pay a like penalty.
