3 Be especially intreated
Before thy face, tho poor they are ; Whom thou lov'st unspeakably,
And to whom thou often a sensation
Giv'st of thy complacency,
Of our hearts, and tears our cheeks
Lord, we blush with humble shame,
And adore thy holy name.
We in confidence draw near,
Condescend in mercy
Of our grateful hearts to hear !
Head and Master of thy congregation,
Thy sheep for ever tend and feed : Conscious, that in ev'ry place
Thou dispensest life and grace.
3 Thy blest people trusting in thy merit Be displayed,
On the earth's extended face,
From each other far, but one in spirit,

His brethren's congregation now Their souls already by his word,
Into her fold receiveth you ; Save one, were

XXXIV. Of HOLY BAPTISM.
5 Besprinkle him, O Jesus, Son of God,
Now with thy precious all-atoning WHEN we baptize a sinner in

XXXV. Of the HOLY COMMUNION.
3 In that most dark and doleful night, SEE Jesus seated ʼmidst his own, When Jesus was betrayed,
With pensive mind oppressed, And, viewing hell's collected might,
As man felt sore dismayed ;
Yet see his face with matchless grace
4. In bread and wine to them he gave
His blood, shed guilty.souls to save;
For thus the Lord hath spoken,
To heal, revive and cheer us.
