Resolved, That the Sergeant-at-Arms by and with the advice of his Honor, the Lieut. Governor, be directed to take charge of the same, and to give it such suitable place in the Senate Chamber as is worthy the gift, as a work of art, and worthy the private character and public service of the man whom it represents.

Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives, That the joint standing committee on the Reform School be instructed to visit said school at Vergennes, inquire into its condition and practical workings, and the manner in which its appropriations have been expended, and report to their respective Houses by bill or otherwise. Joint resolution relating to the duties of the joint standing committee on the House of Correction;

And have adopted the same in concurrence.

The House have considered joint resolution from the Senate fixing time for a Joint Assembly for the election of State Officers; And have refused to concur in the adoption of the same.

The House have on their part adopted joint resolutions, as follows: Joint resolution granting the use of the Hall of the House of Representatives to the Vermont Officers' Reunion Society;

Joint resolution authorizing joint committee on the Reform School to visit the school and report needed legislation relating thereto; In the adoption of which the concurrence of the Senate is requested. The House have passed bills of the following titles:

On motion of Mr. Burnap, the reference of Senate bill entitled,

S. 23. An act in addition to chapter one hundred and fifty-eight, Revised Laws, relating to reorganization of Railroad Companies, after foreclosure, was recalled and the bill was referred to the Committee on Railroads.
