The Assembly has passed

In which the concurrence of the Senate is requested.

I am also directed to inform you that the Assembly has rejected the joint resolution of the Senate, authorizing the publication in pamphlet form of the general banking law.

It was decided in the affirmative,

And the ayes and noes being required,

Those who voted in the affirmative, were

Mr. Stewart voted in the negative.

The title of said bill was then agreed to.

I have the honor herewith to transmit to you, the Report of the Wisconsin State Agricultural Society, and also, the Report of the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin, for the year ending December 31st, 1852.

Mr McLane moved that the report of the State Agricultural Society be referred to the committee on Agriculture,

Which was agreed to.

Mr. Stewart moved that the report of the Board of Regents be referred to the committee on Education, School and University Lands,

Which was agreed to.

The Senate then resolved itself into committee of the whole for the consideration of.

No. 3 S., a bill to authorize the Racine, Janesville and Mississippi Railroad Company to build their Railroad in divisions, and to

connect with certain other Railroads.

No. 10 S., a bill to authorize the city of Racine to aid in the construction of certain Railroads.

No. 19 S., a bill to amend an act entitled "an act to incorporate the Mineral Point Railroad Company," approved April 17, 1852. Mr. Alban in the Chair,'

And after some time spent therein,

The committee arose and reported back to the Senate said bill No. 3 S., with amendment,and recommended the reference thereof to a select committee of three.

Also, said bill No. 10 S., without amendment.

And said bill, No. 19 S., and recommended its reference to committee on Incorporations.

The question being upon the reference of said bill No. 3 S., together with the pending amendments,

It was agreed to.

And Messrs. Cary, Briggs and Bowen were appointed said committee.

The question being upon ordering said bill No. 10 S., to be engrossed and read a third time,

Mr. Cary moved that the bill be laid upon the table one day,
Which was agreed to.

Said bill No. 19 S., was referred to the committee on Incorporations.

On motion of Mr. Reed, the Senate then adjourned to 3 o'clock P. M.

Mr. Squires, from the committee on Enrolled Bills, reported as correctly enrolled:

No. 17 S., a bill to allow appeals to be taken from the decisions of the Register of the State Land Office.

No. 59 S., a bill to amend Chap. 117, of the Revised Statutes.
Which was read the first and second times.

The Senate then resolved itself into committee of the whole for the consideration of

No. 36 A., a bill to vacate a part of Water and Fifteenth streets, in the village of Manitowoc.

No. 29 A., a bill to amend Chap. 88, Section 219, of the Revised Statutes.

No. 24 A., a bill to authorize John J. Cruikshank to Construct and maintain a Canal at Grand Rapids, Wisconsin.

Mr. Prentice in the Chair,

And after some time spent therein,

The committee arose, and by its Chairman, reported back to the Senate said bill No. 36 A., and recommended that it be read the third time.

Also, No. 29 A.; and recommended that the enacting clause thereof be stricken out.

And No. 24 A., and recommended the reference thereof to the committee on Internal Improvements.

Said bill No. 36 A., was ordered to be read the third time.' The question being upon striking out the enacting clause of said bill No. 29 A.

It was decided in the negative,

And the ayes and noes having been called for,
