IN THE YEARS 1825, 26, AND 27.
SOUTHERN DISTRICT OF NEW-YORK, ss.
Be it remembered, that on the Uth day of October, A. D. 1827, ii the fifty-second year of the Independence of the United States of Ame rica, Nathaniel H. Carter, of the said district, hath deposited in office the title of a book, the right whereof he claims as author, in words following, to wit:
"Letters from Europe, comprising the Journal of a Tour througi Ireland, England, Scotland, France, Italy, and Switzerland, in the year 1825, '26, and '27. By N. H. Carter."
In conformity to the Act of Congress of the United States, entfc "An Act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies maps, charts, and books, to the authors and proprietors of such coj' during the time therein mentioned;" and also, to an Act, entitled, Act, supplementary to an Act, entitled an Act for the encouragemi of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts, and books, to tk authors and proprietors of such copies, during the times therein mentioned, and extending the benefits thereof to the arts of designing, en, graving, and etching historical and other prints."
