NEW ROOMS, NEWMARKET, 23d April, 1821. At a General Meeting of the Stewards and Members of th Jockey Club:

It was stated by the Stewards, that a complaint had been mad to them that William Taylor, commonly called Snipe, had bee discovered watching a trial, with a telescope, and that they ha required him to attend this Meeting.

On which the said William Taylor was called in, and acknow ledged the truth of the charge against him, but refused to inform the Meeting who were his employers.

It was therefore resolved, that Mr Weatherby should cause no tices to be served upon him, to keep off the heath grounds occupie by the tenants of the Jockey Club, and should use his best endea vours to obtain from the several occupiers of land adjoining or nea the race-ground, notices to the said William Taylor, to keep off th lands in their several occupations.

And it was further resolved, That any person who should i future be detected offending in like manner, or who should b proved to have employed any persons to watch trials, should b served with similar notices..

And it was further resolved, That the several Members of th Jockey Club should and would require their grooms to discharge al boys and other persons employed by them, who should be detectein watching or divulging any trial; and should and would requir their grooms not to employ any boy or servant who was not able t obtain a good character from the master he last served. And at a Meeting, held 25th April 1821,

It was resolved, That the rules relating to the giving notice o trials should not be considered as extending to trials run at a greate distance from Newmarket than 25 miles.

NEW ROOMS, 9th May 1321.

At a Meeting of the Stewards and Members of the New Rooms, was resolved, in order to ensure a sufficient attendance at the bal lots, that for the future all the Members of the Jockey Club shoul be entitled to ballot for the Candidates for the New Rooms.
