Bills Nos. 34, 35, 37, 38, 39, and resolution No. 6, (H. of R.) were ordered to be engrossed for a third reading; and Memorial No 4, (C.) and bills Nos. 20, 29 and 34, (C.) were ordered to their third reading,

And the question having been put on concurring in the amendments of the committee to memorial No. 4, (H. of R.) It was decided in the negative.

The said memorial was then ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.

for the passage of an act of incorporation for a rail road company;

No. 34, (H. of R.) "A bill to authorize school district No. 1, in Sheboygan county, to levy a tax for building a school house;"

No. 37, (H. of R.) "A bill to legalize the acts of the officers therein named ;”

No. 39, (H. of R.) "A bill for the benefit of Abelbert H. Bishop ;"

No. 38, (H. of R.) "A bill to provide for laying out a terrial road from Comb's settlement in Richland county to Kickapoo copper mines;"

A message from the Governor, by Geo. P. Delaplaine, his Private Secretary:

"Mr. Speaker I am directed by his Excellency the Governor to deliver to this House a message in writing."

Said message was then taken up and read, as follows:

"To the House of Representatives:

You will receive herewith a letter addressed me from A. Hy

att Smith, Esq. Attorney General of the Territory, on the subject of unauthorized settlements on the University Lands.

I respectfully recommend that the Attorney General may be authorized by law to take the proper legal steps to prosecute all intruders on the lands referred to.
