Memorial to congress for the repeal of the duty on lumber. The memorial of the legislature of the state of Wisconsin, respectfully represents: That the people of Wisconsin would

look with favor upon the repeal of the duty on lumber, which measure would evidently be of immense benefit to the interests of the great mass of this nation, wherefore your memorialists do pray the congress of the United States to repeal that duty.

Resolved by the Senate the Assembly concurring: That the governor be and is hereby requested to forward this memorial to each of our senators and representatives in the congress of the United States.
