Mr. Dennis moved to amend the title by striking out all after the word "bill," and insert "to submit to the inhabitants of the counties of Jefferson and Dadge the question of the division of said counties;"

Which was agreed to.

The title of said bill, as amended, was then agreed to.

No. 59, (H. of R.) "A bill to authorize school district No. 2, in Sheboygan county, to levy a tax for building a school. house,"

Was read the third time, passed, and the title thereof agreed to.

No. 66, (H. of R.) " A bill to amend an act entitled ' an act to incorporate the town of Platteville;"

Was read the third time, passed, and the title thereof agreed to.

No. 42, (H. of R.) "A bill to amend an act entitled 'an act to amend an act to establish the rate of toll for grinding ;" Was taken up; when

Mr. Thomas moved to lay said bill on the table;

Which was agreed to.

No. 54, (C.) "A bill to incorporate the Carrollton Manufacturing Company of Ormsbeeville, Wisconsin ;"

Was read the third time.

Mr. Graves moved to lay said bill on the table;
Which was decided in the negative.

And the ayes and noes having been called for,

'An act fixing the salary of the Attorney General; '

'An act relative to the county of Crawford and the counties thereunto attached for judicial purposes;'

'A memorial to the Congress of the United States rela tive to a mail route from the Falls of St. Croix to La Pointe, on Lake Superior;' and

A memorial to Congress for an appropriation to complete. the improvement of the steamboat landing at Potosi, on the Mississippi river, in Wisconsin.""

Mr. Phelps, from the joint committee on Enrollment, made the following report:

The joint committee on Enrollment report as correctly enrolled :

"An act to divide the county of Iowa, and establish the counties of La Fayette and Montgomery;"

"An act to incorporate Carroll College;'

"An act to provide for the division of the county of Milwaukee ;"

"An act to provide for the improvement of Grant river, at Potosi, in Grant county;"

"An act to incorporate the city of Milwaukee;"

"Resolution providing for a final settlement of the claims of Daniel Baxter;"

"An act to vacate a part of Second street, in the town of Potosi, in the county of Grant, and for other purposes;" "An act to amend an act entitled an act to incorporate the village of Fair Play,' approved Feb. 24, 1845;" and "An act to provide for paying the Adjutant General of the Militia for his former services and disbursements."

Mr. Hoard moved to amend said bill No, 54, (C.) by striking out all after the enacting clause;

Which was decided in the negative.

House passed said bill No. 54, (C.)

Which was decided in the negative.
