This being the third Monday of November, the day fixed by law for the annual meeting of the General Assembly of the State of Alabama, the Senate was called to order, in the United States Court Building, by Mr. M. P. Blue, Secretary of the Senate, in the absence of Lieutenant Governor Moren. On motion, The districts were called, when the following Senators elect answered to their names : 1st District-W. R. Chisholm; 26th District-J. W. Dereen. Mr. Pennington was called to preside as temporary On motion of Mr. Black, Mr. William Duncan was selected as temporary Door- Senate then adjourned until 4 p. m. |
