I love this book; it's excellent for anyone wanting to know about medieval arms and armor. It goes through various types of weapons and armor chronologically, so you can see how things developed over time, and the pictures are very nice too. Sadly, I believe it's currently out of print. ( )

Fully includes cod pieces (sparingly) and armour skirts for men. I deem it wise to peruse all images with great care and thought. When armour became less about getting killed and more about looking like a pillock rejoicing was heard throughout the land. ( )
